MMUN New York Travel Aid

MMUN New York Travel Aid

Middle school students are preparing to represent their delegation at the Montessori Model United Nations Conference in New York City, March 17–20, 2027. They research international issues, write position papers and speeches, and practice formal debate and diplomacy — and the conference is where that work comes alive alongside students from around the world.

Sending one delegate costs about $3,050 — conference, hotel, flights, meals, and getting around the city. Our goal is to raise $20,000 — enough to send all five delegates plus the teacher coordinator who prepares them all year and chaperones the trip — so cost never decides who can go. Friends of GROW pays trip costs directly under its written travel-aid policy.

Cameras, computers, and editing software so students can write, shoot, and edit their own films.

GROW’s monthly student newspaper

Printing and publishing costs for the newspaper students research, write, and design each month.

Need-based tuition scholarships

Helping families who couldn’t otherwise afford a GROW education, awarded under written, objective, nondiscriminatory policies.

How to give

Online: give securely by card or bank transfer through our donation form on Zeffy. Zeffy charges Friends of GROW no fees, so your full gift goes to the program.

By check or other ways: email rajeev@thegrowcoop.org and we’ll reply with instructions.

Every donor receives a written receipt for their tax records. Gifts support Friends of GROW’s programs and can’t be designated for a specific student or family.
